guy's weekend out

i know it's only 5:30, but i don't have much time to write today. alan and jay are mobilizing soon, and i'm going to meet up with them. and i still need to get a haircut. i'm SO shaggy and disgusting; i can pull my sideburns out like 3/4 of an inch! ick.

last night, the guys were "free." both of their wives were out of town, so they relished their newfound freedom, and we met up on castro for dinner. i recommended cafe yulong, so we went there. their mongolian beef is ridiculously good. however, their shao long bao is horrible; never, EVER get it. it tastes like a regular dumpling, except all shriveled up. yuck. afterwards, we went to sweet corner, got some fro-yo, and planned our festivities for the weekend. i think tonight is dinner and a movie, and tomorrow involves SF somehow.

today was the first company dinner with the four new hires. their names were called, and they each had to stand up and wave. ah, the ritual. the CEO also announced that the company logo was on the back end of elliott sadler's NASCAR vehicle during some race, and we were all very proud of that. i don't know how sadler did, but i don't think he wrecked or anything, so we didn't jinx him.

a friend of mine, J, has been in the bay area this past week, and he's been playing poker every night. (this is the guy who was in the world series of poker main event in vegas last month.) he's been cashing in $1,500 on average every night. what a great way to make a living. that's about $500K a year if he plays every day! what an income! i wish i could be a good poker player like him.

SYTYCD got four of the six emmy nominations for outstanding choreography. the nominees were mia michaels (the door dance), nappytabs ("bleeding love"), tyce (some lyrical dance), and dmitry chaplin (some ballroom number). pretty impressive. oh, by the way, i really liked wade robson's asian-flavored opening group number last night. it was just damn cool. he has the neatest ideas. i wonder how much his asian wife influences him.

i ate asparagus today during lunch. my pee smells FUNKY. i love it. and it didn't take long for it to act up, either. i think it took effect maybe an hour after i ate the 4-5 stalks of the stuff. neat-o!

yesterday, i was at the urinal, and the guy next to me did not flush. i mean, we peed at the same time, and he just walked away without any embarrassment after he was done, as if he wasn't doing anything wrong. i SO wanted to call him out, but i didn't want to cause a scene. WTF? asshole. i was also tempted to reach over and flush for him with him standing right there. i just don't get it. and yes, i did check his water, and it was yellow.

and also on the top of not flushing, when i get up in the middle of the night to pee, i don't flush. it's an old habit because the toilet at my old place had this problem where it wouldn't stop refilling, and i didn't want to wait for the whole process and then fix it while i was still drowsy. i need to fix that. anyways, since i sleep naked, when i pee at night, i have to take two squares of toilet paper and dab at my meatus to dry it. ha! i feel like a girl.

if i didn't have to pick up shit or worry about leaving home for long periods of time (including vacations), i'd get a dog. i love dogs. but alas, those two things are issues enough that prevent me from getting one. i am horrified at the idea of sticking my hand through a bag and picking up a steaming, hot turd. and the fact that i can't just pack up and leave all day or for a two-week trip to some overseas land is also a problem. but man, it would be nice to own a loving pooch.

is it possible for a girl to elbow herself in the boobs?

i think i'm finally getting sick of shinedown's song, "second chance." i realized the other day how simple the song is. it's just four unique lines and two choruses. but it sure is catchy. it hit #1 on the AT40 charts a few weeks ago, and i'm sure it's still somewhere up there. many radio stations play it, from the relatively easy listening ones to the alternative ones like live 105.

ok, that's it for me. gotta go. time to get rid of this scruff! and BRING ON THE WEEKEND!
