i got a dwr (design within reach) catalog the other day, and i was curious to see how much my rectangular inox bulletproof table was now selling for. $850!! holy shit! i bought it for $425 a few years ago. hot damn. their prices are really inflated. i own several items from dwr (go to dwr.com to look around), and i have to say, while their stuff looks cool, their build quality is actually really crappy. my inox table squeaks and wobbles around, and the end table that i bought from them chipped when i was building it. and given their exorbitant prices, it's just not worth it. i still can't believe how much my table is selling for now. it's bullshit, i say! but the thing is, they're expanding, so a lot of people must be lapping their wares up.
i had a dream this morning where i was forced to eat all kinds of peas: snow peas, sugar snap peas (i've never even had these before), and regular peas. i hate peas. the only time i can sort of tolerate them is if they're in a tuna casserole, in limited quantities, of course. anyways, weird dream.
i am really liking _gossip girl_. it's filled with pretty people, although it's sort of low on hot girls. it's definitely got a lot of eye candy as far as good looking guys go. but leighton meester is all i need. the show is very decadent and full of scandal; it's like an east coast NYC version of _the OC_. i'm really glad that i called ting right in time before the show started, so she could give me an 8-minute recap of season 1. that way, i got the lowdown on who used to go out with who, who slept with who, etc. i'm going to continue watching this show. and tonight, i'm going to watch _fringe_. (or at least tape it if i go out to dinner)
the company is out of gatorade today. so after basketball, i've had one liter of water and two dr pepper's. so far, no headache yet. i decided to wear my sleeveless muscle shirt today during the game. i probably look ridiculous because i have no shoulders or biceps to speak of, but hey, i didn't want to get my t-shirt sweaty, and i'm going to do this from now on.
i think i'm addicted to tap-ex's pepper crispy chicken. last night, after i watched _gossip girl_, i went there and got some, spiciness level 3. it was absolutely fucking delicious. qcup's qpop chicken pales in comparison. maybe next time, i'll brave spice level 4. but definitely not 5; the last time i had that, my eyes were glazed over with tears. ouch!
on tuesdays and thursdays, i have breakfast, play basketball, and skip lunch. so in the afternoons, i get damn hungry. i had a twix bar, though, so i think i ruined my appetite. i'm meeting up with nelson at los charros tonight, but i'm not going to have a wet burrito because i'm going there again with adam on thursday. so maybe i'll just get some soft tacos instead. (their quesadillas suck.)
why do people pull their pants down all the way to their ankles when they take a dump? doesn't it get really drafty in their crotches? i was doing a #2 today, and this guy walked into the stall next to me and did that. i could see his badge and belt on the ground. that just makes my balls shiver in fear and my schlong shrivel up like a frightened turtle. i pull my pants and boxers down just enough so i don't piss on myself when i'm sitting on the crapper. it's comfortable and cozy that way. plus, in that position, i can pull out my cell phone easily and call/text people.
speaking of texting, go figure, the month that i switch over my plan to 250 texts for $5, it doesn't become economical. damn. all the previous months, i had so many text messages that it cost me over $5. (they're 20 cents each, so 25 of them is the tipping point.) i guess that means that i should start using the service more. so to all my friends, start texting me! fyi, my brother and his gf once had over 1,500 messages to/from each other in one month. wow!
so leeya's planning out the itinerary for the UK trip, and i'm pretty flexible as far as where we go. i just want to relax and enjoy the sights. but one place i told her that i definitely want to go is the jameson factory in dublin. hopefully they will have some tasty drinks available after the tour. thanks for the recommendation from the person who left me the comment! is there a bushmills factory, too?
i don't get why there is such high demand for elvis impersonators.
my cubicle neighbor downloaded google's chrome beta browser. it looks ok, but i don't see what's so special about it.
ok, i'm done here. off i go! maybe i'll only get two soft tacos at los charros tonight and then hit up tap-ex for more chicken. *slurp*
