cutie gymnast

so i was watching the olympics, the women's individual, and i noticed the US had this cute girl. at first, i thought it was shawn johnson, but then i was like, "nah, shawn is sort of nasty. she's impish and shorter than this girl." it turned out to be alicia sacramone. (i keep forgetting her last name; i keep wanting to call her "marscapone.") she's really cute! she's got a really nice face, although her neck is unnaturally thick. apparently, google is getting #1 hits for the phrase "alicia sacramone is hot," and she is coming in #2 behind michael phelps in olympic popularity. i am not surprised. btw, she's 20 (she's the oldest girl on the US squad), so she's not jail bait.

so far, the olympics is serving as a buffer between me and my mom. however, the games will only last for one more week. i'm not sure what will happen for the next two weeks. tonight, before going home, i'm going to tartini for some frozen yogurt with jennie. it's a yelp event, my very first one. i heard tartini has some good flavors, but i'll just try their plain tart (assuming they have it) since it's my first time there. they better have mochi!

i've been taking multiple dumps lately. today, i've already had three. they usually happen after i have a cigarette. it's not surprising, since nicotine sets off the bowels. it makes me scared about going to the UK, since we'll be on the road a lot. i hope there are bathrooms everywhere, because i don't want to have to hold it in and/or risk soiling myself. damn, my boss is in france right now, and i really need to know if i have the official green light to go so i can start booking my tickets.

with D gone on vacation, i had lunch with new guy T today. he's this slight, short japanese dude, but man, he knows his football. he's a die hard raiders fan (he has season tickets!), and it's very cool to see all the knowledge spew out of his mouth for a guy who doesn't look like a football fan. we went to thai basil today, and we talked football the entire time. he even wears his jerry rice raiders jersey to the games. very nifty. i just hope he doesn't get beat up at a raiders game.

because of the olympics, i haven't been following the NFL at all so far. how are the cowboys doing? if i go on the UK trip, one thing i'll miss will be a few weeks of football. good thing i'm not playing fantasy football.

i wonder if i'll start to suffer from porn withdrawal in a few days time.

now is crunch time for team USA basketball. and the next game vs. australia is going to be tough. we only won by 11 points the last time we played them in exhibition, and the aussies didn't even have andrew bogut due to injury. i'm going to try my hardest to watch this game live (assuming they broadcast it). i'm very nervous about this one. so far, we've been destroying our opponents, so i hope we're not getting complacent. *crossed fingers*

over the weekend, i also watched some olympics women's beach volleyball. i saw china defeat USA's branagh/youngs. at first, i thought china's xue chen was kinda cute. she's 6'3" too, which is sort of hot. however, today, i found a picture of her without her sunglasses on, and i had to change my opinion; her face isn't that good. too bad. she's only 19, though. 6'3" at 19 years old? wow. the chinese team does this "team building" thing where they hug after every point they win, and it really gets annoying.

some guys get really turned on by women's beach volleyball because of the skimpy bikinis the girls wear, but i'm not one of them. it's because of their bodies; they're not curvaceous enough for me. none of the players' asses have any plumpness, and their boobs are pretty flat. now, i'm not saying i need a jlo booty or a pamela anderson chest, but at least give me a handful! and i do wonder what all that sun does to their skin; they must have to wear SPF 100 or something all the time.

ok, off for a cigarette break, and i have some e-mails and facebook messages to reply to.

mom's here

friday night, a group of us went to bj's to dinner. i wanted to drink, so i started off with a bushmills on the rocks. there was a new girl (L) that i met for the first time, so she ordered a round of soco and lime. i hate soco, and it was a big shot, but it actually tasted ok. and then, i ordered another bushmills. i had the angus beef dip again, and man, that shit is tasty.

afterwards, we went back to edric's place, and i just chilled while others played rock band. i went home just before midnight or so. i felt a little gross, so i puked a few times and went to bed. yeah, i wasn't drunk or anything, but i felt ill, probably because of that soco drink.

saturday, nelson and i went to hobee's, which has become my favorite breakfast place. i like stacks slightly better, but there's always a wait there, and hobee's usually has a table free when we get there. i got the mountain view special omelette, and it was yums. after that, we went back to nelson's place to watch some olympics (water polo, US upsetting latvia) before i picked up my mom at SFO.

i took my mom to safeway, where we bought $40 worth of fruit and groceries, and then we just hung out. my mom ate something from burger king, so she wasn't hungry, so i left her at home while i went to jay and margaret's place (alan and ting were there, too), and we grabbed dinner in little saigon. the place mainly served chicken, and i got some boneless chicken dish with this tasty seasoned rice. afterwards, we grabbed some frozen yogurt in downtown willow glen. then, we watched michael phelps win his 8th gold medal. it was an awesome medley relay. i got home around midnight.

sunday, i dropped off my mom at church around 10am and then went home and slept some more. then, after i picked her up at noon, we went to A&J's for some beef noodle soup. i felt very sleepy from food coma, so i took a nap in my room while watching some olympics. at 7:30, i met up with jeffrey and nicki at gombei for dinner. jeffrey was an old church friend, so my mom hadn't seen him in over 10 years.

it was funny, the owner of this gombei (the menlo park one) saw me, and he said, "we're better than the one in santa clara." ha! i guess he knew about me going to gombei #3. i told him yes, the curry was better at the menlo park branch, and i expressed my displeasure that gombei #3 didn't have the gombei special. he chuckled.

on the drive home, my mom made me very uncomfortable by telling me her life story of how she found jesus. her testimony spanned from when she was six years old all the way until her own mother passed away, which was when she finally found god. what was the point of that story? did she want me to take to heart what she said for me to seek out god myself? ugh. it was very uncomfortable.

after i got home, i called up paul, and i requested meeting up for some pearl tea, so he obliged, and i met up with him, leeya and nelson at tap-ex at 10pm. leeya was looking up places to go for the UK trip, and she'll be working on an itinerary to show me by this weekend. we stayed until closing at 11, and then i just went to bed.
