dude talks like a girl

i was in the company bathroom today taking a leak when all of a sudden, i heard a woman's voice. i sort of did a double take, quickly expunged the piss out of my schlong, zipped up, and turned around. it was a guy! i guess this dude had a very feminine voice, and he was talking to the dude next to me at the other urinal. how weird. i wonder if this guy's married, and if he can get girls being a guy with such an effeminate voice. it reminds me of that _seinfeld_ episode with the bald guy who talked like a woman.

i was starving last night, and it carried over to today. D was working on something until 1pm, so we had a late lunch. i took over the reins of deciding where to go, so i steered us to the cheap mongolian place on castro. i had one and a half plates of food. i was absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal, with massive food coma bearing down on my body. amazingly, i didn't fall asleep in my cube, and i started drinking dr pepper as soon as i got back to work.

i am pissed at the software/architecture group. we designed this WGC block given the original spec, and now they are asking for a design modification because they want a new feature. they never asked for it to begin with, and now they as demanding changes. wtf? what a pain in the ass. i feel bad for M, who has to make these changes. as a hardware designer, i have always gotten upset when i code something given an original spec, and then they go and ask for for something more later on. i mean, how rude and inconsiderate is that? it's like they think it's something simple and negligible to add something on later. *RAAR*

before lunch, i finally watched a poor-quality youtube video of the men's 4x100 freestyle relay from last night. even though i knew what the results were, i was still totally excited during the last 50 meters. amazing and thrilling! my boss is french, and when i brought it up to him, he just shook his head and said there would be a "diplomatic argument" between the two countries. haha.

it seems that espn can't get any footage of the olympics. i think nbc has exclusive rights to all of their broadcasts. it sucks, because when i watched sportscenter at night, i expect to see some highlights from the olympics, but instead, i get mostly baseball updates and some still photos from the beijing games. rats. does anybody know when the team USA/angola game is? it's either at 5am or 8am. if it's the latter, i might actually get up and watch it.

i am considering watching _gossip girl_ when it comes back on in the fall season. why, do you ask? because i think leighton meester is absolutely beautiful. i have watched some hollywood entertainment shows, and i caught sight of her, and i was like, "who *is* that girl?" she has a gorgeous face. innocent and stunning. i would so do her. i heard she plays a bitch on the show, though, so i wonder how that will color my opinion of her.

i am glad that i have a high tolerance. sort of. i mean, i think it's sort of a bummer that i can't get buzzed and happy, but it keeps me from doing stupid things. and it keeps me out of trouble, i.e. drunk driving. i mean, i had six shots worth of alcohol on saturday night, including three shots of tequila in 30 minutes, and i was completely sober afterwards. but i do miss being tipsy. i wonder if my meds have anything to do with my high tolerance, because you'd think that those three quick patron shots should have at least affected me somewhat.

why don't offices/restaurants/movie theaters have nice toilet paper? is crappy toilet paper that much cheaper? it probably is, huh? even though it's way thinner and flimsier, i still use 8 squares of it when i wipe my ass. i do get scared that it'll rip or seep through to my fingers when i use it. so far, it hasn't been a problem though.

i'm having pizza chicago tonight. i wonder if i should leave now to watch michael phelps's third finals race.

i am the instigator

i got a lot of people drunk (passed out, puking, etc.) this weekend.

friday night, i organized a drinking/olympics opening ceremony night at edric and charlin's place. we met up at 6:30, and nine of us had dinner at asia village (wolfe and old san francisco). dinner was good, and it was cheap, only $10 a head. i brought over my $54 bottle of patron reposado, and five of us polished off the bottle over the course of the night. we also made some wimpy mixed drinks. i was surprised at how low of a tolerance some people had, and people were messed up. i had four shots myself, and i was pretty much fine.

the olympic opening ceremonies were amazing. i was most impressed by the 2008 drummers at the beginning (with the countdown), and the human-powered moving blocks. simply awesome. of course, i later read this weekend that some of the fireworks were computer-generated for the telecast, so that was a little disturbing and disappointing.

i left around 1am, and later i got a call a drunk text message from edric. haha. i texted him back, and then i got naked for my shower when greg called me from edric's place. apparently edric drunk dialed greg's wife cheryl, and they went over to check out the action. ha! what a night.

saturday morning, peter woke me up at 10:30, and i met up with him at queen house for an early lunch. i had 12 pork and leek dumplings, which was very filling. and then, a few hours later, i had ANOTHER lunch with paul, leeya, aimee and nelson at pho kim long. i mean, i didn't want to eat, but since i was there, i couldn't pass up having their #27. i was amazed that i was able to scarf it down. i was doubly stuffed.

we went to the bevmo in the great mall, and i bought four shot glasses and two whiskey tumblers for jenS's housewarming party later on that night. then, we went back to paul's place to watch some olympics action. then, it was off to jen's party.

i didn't eat much since i was full from my two lunches, and when john arrived, i had three whiskey's. we watched a lot of olympics, and i just hung out watched tv. we watched michael phelps win the gold in the 400 IM. amazing! he broke his own world record, and he didn't even wear that magical speedo swimsuit.

john and grace left and came back with a 375ml of patron blanco, and i made jen do three shots in like 40 minutes. i, of course, did them (along with other people) with her, and she seemed fine at first. then, it all hit her like a brick wall, and she got really sick. i felt really guilty. we put her to bed at like 2am, and then grace, cheryl and i cleaned up the place for her. i went to bed at 3am. (i was completely sober, amazing!)

sunday, i met up with jenC at hobee's for brunch. i hadn't seen her in over a decade, so i didn't quite know what she looked like. she had long hair, but her face was pretty much the same. we caught up, and then we went on a long walk on stanford campus, as i showed her all the new buildings that had gone up.

then, i took a nap, and i watched more olympics. man, i LOVE the olympics. i am so happy that i can watch as much as i want to. i taped the team USA/china game, so i was glad that we won. we shot the 3-ball slightly better in the 2nd half, and we're going to need to do that in order to beat the better teams.

alan finally called me back, and i met up with them in downtown redwood city to watch _the mummy_. i got a southern chicken sandwich at mcd's and ate it on the drive up (i got it because it had no sauce and therefore was safe to eat in the car). the movie was horrible. i was hoping for a good fight between michelle yeoh and jet li, but alas, it was not choregraphed by the likes of yuen wo ping or anything. even alan, who likes bad movies, said it sucked.

after i left rwc, i went to paul's house, where he, mikeC and nelson were playing command and conquer. i surfed the internet and played with spike for a while and then went home.

ah, what a weekend of drinking and watching the olympics. next saturday, my mom comes, so the fun ends there.
