big turnout

we had *16* people show up for basketball today. due to my poor free throw shooting, i had to sit out for two games in the middle. overall, i was kind of tired because city beach was closed to open play last week. i did, however, make this sweet move where i pump-faked this big defender into the air, and i drove by him and made a nice finger roll into the basket. that was awesome.

i found a big, huge bug in my code today during testing. it was horrible. when i saw it, i couldn't believe how bad i had messed up. the text seemed to leap into the air, through my eyes, and strike me right into my brain. i made a big, loud exclamation, and my cubicle neighbor laughed. luckily, i was able to fix it with simple text replacement, and so far, the test seems to work now. *bonk* what a stupid mistake.

jenC moved back to the bay area! she had been working in minnesota for walmart as a buyer, and was very unresponsive to my e-mails. she finally returned an e-mail of mine entitled "spring's here" (ha, a whole season late) giving me good news, so i was all excited. jen and i became friends when we were dormmates my junior year at stanford. i had my guy drawmates, and she had her drawmates. i think of all the girls, i became closest to her. so i hope i'll be able to hang out with her soon in the near future. i'll call up jack, too, because i'm sure he'll be happy to see her as well.

my dad wrote me an e-mail today entitled "privacy." he said that he "peeked" at my blog, and he wasn't happy with what he read. he wondered if i would ever be able to land a girl with what i write; it's not the first time someone's expressed the same thing. i dunno. maybe i should rethink about the issue of self-censorship? what do you guys think?

i read the recap of team USA's game against australia this morning. we only won by 11 points, and we shot horribly from 3 and the free throw line. ugh. it looks bad for us. i mean, andrew bogut wasn't even playing for australia, and we had problems with them? ugh. we had better get our shit together or else it's another no-gold for us in the olympics.

i took five dumps yesterday, once again. i think it was the bleu cheese on my burger or something. i had a lingering stomachache after dinner (i went to la bamba with mikeT), and i kept on having to rush to the bathroom while watching tv. my asshole was so raw from all that wiping, and soaping my butt during my nightly shower was very painful. things are ok today, but man, it wasn't pleasant last night.

i'm not sure what to do about the cute girl at my office. i saw her a couple of times when she went to the bathroom, but i was very careful not to stare at her too long, or else it would look very weird and creepy. i love the fact that she wears glasses, but i'm afraid that she won't look as good without them on. she dresses well, too, which makes her look even more attractive. hm. what to do...

i wish there were a better public transportation system here. i'm supposed to "train" my friend jessica to build up her alcohol tolerance, but that's not really possible when we have to drive to a bar to drink and then drive home. i mean, if we were in NYC or tokyo, then there would be cabs or trains, and it would be easy to get home after getting drunk. but not here. i think if i lived in either of those cities, i would drink a lot more. when i lived in kyoto, i went to bars all the time, even on weeknights. that was the only time when i grew to like beer, because i had it so often.

japan was also the time when i had the most alcohol. there was one night when i had FIVE long island iced teas. i passed out at the end of the hallway in the bar, puked on the floor right in front of me, and passed out again. i remember the bartender waking me up, asking me if the puke was mine, and i said no. ha! i mean, it was so OBVIOUS that it was mine, hehe. later on, i met her, and she told me that she was the one who had to clean up my regurgitation (major embarrassment). anyways, the next morning, i had to take a class trip to hiroshima, and i couldn't even hold down water. my host dad laughed at me when i ran to the bathroom to hurl that water into the toilet.

do you girls out there remember when you had your hymen broken? did it really hurt a lot? i've never had experience with that; all of the girls i slept with weren't virgins when i met them. i imagine that these days, with the advent of tampons, girls don't have their hymens intact when they lose their virginity. i've only read about that stuff in fictional stories and stuff. *shrug*

still no takers on the _sytycd_ tour, huh? i really want to go this year, although not as badly as last year. there weren't as many memorable dance routines this season; my favorite by far happened in the very first week: katee and joshua's "no air," choreographed by napoleon and tabitha. and the big bummer is that youtube took down the video. damn you, fox!

ok. time for my 6pm smoke. i think i'm having dinner with jennie tonight. gombei, here we come!
