man, i've practically spent the entire afternoon away from my desk. i've been in R's cube debugging the HWG. frustrating, i tell you. we came up with one fix, but now it's caused some problems elsewhere. ARGH! now, it's past 6:30, and i've just started blogging. looks like a late night at the office.
so my parents come in tomorrow morning. i don't think i can take any time off, so i'm sort of in a bad position. i mean, what the hell are they supposed to do while i'm at work? *RAAR* what a rotten son i am. or rather, what a rotten thing my job is doing to me.
we had a monster showing at basketball today. we had like 14-15 people! it was good to get out and exercise, and william even showed up! it was good to see him, although i didn't get to play on his team. i only scored one point today, on a jumper from about 15 feet. i played better defense today, though.
so greg and cheryl are hosting a holiday/gift exchange party on saturday, like i said. after dinner at st. john's yesterday, mikeC, nelson and i hit fry's in search of gifts to buy. i found something that was within the $20 range, and it's a decent gift. at first, i picked up a neck-massaging cradle, but then i found something that seemed better. afterwards, we hit up paul and leeya's house and tried some of aimee's chili. it was good, although it could have been spicier. i love spicy chili! aimee only put in 4 peppers, although she bought 6. next time, she should go all the way and put them all in.
re: vegemite. i have been curious about it for a long time. it's one of those cultural curiosities (probably like why people wonder why taiwanese people like stinky tofu), and it's been enhanced because i really like that song "land down under" by men at work. and you know that line "he just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich." but yeah, it tastes really gross, and i will probably never eat it again. i really don't understand why aussies like that stuff.
tonight's the big decision! tila tequila picks the one. personally, i'm rooting for dani because like cindy says, she's a pretty cool person. i don't like her hair, but i guess it suits her as being a butch lesbian. i saw some clips of her wearing a bit of makeup, and it actually looks decent on her. a little bit goes a long way. i wonder if bisexual people miss things about the other sex when they're with one particular sex. like, when they're with a girl, do they miss a penis inside of her? and when they're with a guy, do they miss playing with a woman's boobs? stuff like that.
i don't think i could ever be into guys. i definitely think some guys are really attractive (like taye diggs or gregory peck in his prime), but not in the way of "i'd do him" or "he could make me gay." i think women are too attractive. their legs, breasts, asses, the back of their necks, everything! women are just delectable. *slurps*
i've got to clean up the place when i go home tonight. i need to buy some toothpaste, bottles of water, extra blankets, etc. for my parents, and most importantly, i need to hide my stash of porn. ah, no more naked time for a while! (not that i've been doing much of that; my place is too cold for naked time these days.)
i'm really worried that my dad is overworking himself. he's been travelling a lot, and the day after he gets here, he's flying to north carolina and then to houston for business trips. man. he's quite a workaholic. i know he enjoys his job, and he takes pride in it, but dude, this is the holidays! he should be taking a break. i wonder if he's the type to work until the very last days of his life; i bet he'd get bored if he retired.
