so yesterday, i found one of my summer rebounds (after k1) on facebook. she's the one who married another dardy. ha! she is most likely the only person on this planet who's gone out with two dardy's. what are the chances of that? deep down, i bet she was so attached to me that she just had to have another one, a replacement D. :)
today, i had lunch with william at maruichi. it's a good thing we met up at 11:45, because by the time we sat by, the place filled up, and there was a massive throng outside. to be honest, i'm not crazy about ramen anymore. it's just two pieces of meat, half an egg, and noodles. it's not much to go ga-ga over. maybe i should drink the soup or something (i never do).
afterwards, we got pearl tea at verde (never get the passion fruit). plus, i had a beer at maruichi, so i had a lot of liquid over lunch. i had to pee by the time i got to my car, but i held it in. halfway on the drive back to the office, i got a call from an ex-coworker, and she talked to me for like 15 minutes. i REALLY had to go at this point, and i was pacing back and forth outside the bathroom, wondering if i should cut her off. i thought about taking the call into the pisser, but i find it hard to zip up with one hand, so i just patiently waited for the conversation to naturally end. when it finally did, i rushed to the bathroom and had one of those orgasmic pisses. ah, that felt really fucking good.
i'm going to see _beowulf_ tonight in 3D. i am worried about two things. first, i am worried that my tics will launch my 3D glasses all over the place, and second, i'm worried that i'll get a headache. i've seen some short 3D films at amusement parks (like terminator and captain EO), but a full-length movie? never tried it. i'm curious, though, but still, it sounds like a gimmick to me. i hope angelina jolie's boobs are glorious in three dimensions!
this is my 1,300th post in this incarnation of the blog. i had like over 2,000 entries before my blog died the last time, so it's not much of a milestone. but still, i like numbers, and it serves to show how much time i've wasted writing on here. it's been fun, and i do wonder how long i'll keep it up.
i did a lot of coding this week. not verilog coding (my native language), but C-coding. it's not my forte, but it's been fun nonetheless. though you may not believe it, i *do* enjoy working, as long as it's not super-stressful work. things are still not completely done yet, though, but i feel like i got some stuff done this week. i set my alarm for 9am this morning, but i just couldn't get up. i wound up at the office at 10. not good, but not bad, either.
it's amazing how much you can snack when your mind is occupied with something else. like, on wednesday night, i was watching _the real world_, and i had a super-size bag of shrimp chips (calbee brand, the best) open. i wound up eating over half the bag without noticing. that's like 650 calories right there! i had a nice big dump the next morning; i would have liked it to smell shrimpy, but alas, no such luck. but man, i love shrimp chips.
i'm IM'ing that summer rebound girl. it's cool that we can talk in a friendly manner, with no hard feelings or bad blood. she's probably the first (and only) girl i've gone out with that is civil with me. (btw, today is k1's birthday.) but then again, we only went out for two weeks. before we hooked up, we must have seen like 20-30 movies together. ah, the summer of movies. we were both fairly "famous" in dallas for being high-achieving kids, so we made for a high-powered couple. hehe. it was pretty cool, what we had for that one summer.
so i watched last night's episode of _grey's anatomy_. (i taped the second half while i watched _scrubs_.) i'm still don't have a grasp of all the characters' names, but can someone tell me if the two dr. grey's are related? anyways, the episode was fine and all, and i enjoyed it, but i don't think i'm going to follow the show; it's nothing that special.
television is making me lazy, though; aside from going to southland earlier this week, i've stayed in and not even bothered to call friends up for dinner. last night, i watched my mavericks get destroyed in the 4th quarter by allen iverson and the nuggets, and then i watched an amazing finish by villanova against LSU. (for some reason, i just don't like LSU, though i have no reason to dislike them. maybe it's their colors? i hate purple.) and then, it was the network shows that i just talked about. help, i'm becoming a couch potato!
ah, the weekend is upon us. i'm heading off soon. ciao!
