argh. i got hit in the face with a basketball today, and it left a bloody gash on the right side of the bridge of my nose, right where my glasses go. it hurts and burns! i was blotting blood after i got back to the office, and since i always have to wear glasses (i will never wear contacts), i'm not sure how this will heal. ugh. maybe i should invest in a pair of sports goggles.
i tried jack in the box's sirlion steak and egg breakfast burrito for the second time today, just to make sure i didn't like it. i felt sick after eating it for a few hours afterwards. i think it's the chipotle sauce that makes it gross. i mean, it's a good idea: nice chunks of juicy steak, eggs, hash browns in a warm tortilla, and who can argue with chipotle sauce? but as a whole, it's just nasty. and it's expensive, too; with tax, it's $3.45.
last night's monday night football was horribly boring. the final score was 3-0! the problem was that the field in pittsburgh was a mess; it was like playing in a swamp. apparently, there had been 3-4 high school games played there on friday, and then a college game on saturday, so the grass was all chewed up. and then, i think it rained there as well, so it didn't make things any better. it was sort of funny to see a punted ball just stick into the field without a bounce after it landed in the turf. i was hoping for a 0-0 game; that hadn't happened since 1943!
i got a call this morning from verizon wireless. the dude informed me that i had incurred an overage of 27 minutes, at a rate of 45 cents a minute. holy shit! i had no idea that i had talked that much this month. i have a plan of 300 minutes a month. hm. that doesn't sound like much, but then again, i'm not on my cell phone a lot during the workday. so who did i call? *ponder* the guy then proceeded to try to sell me an upgraded (read: more expensive) plan, but i politely declined. so i'm going to try to not use my phone until december rolls around.
speaking of december, i'm sad that november is ending. this month really flew by quickly. like i said, november is my favorite month, and boy, it went by in a flash. one more month until 2008! damn, where this this year go? it was definitely a fun year, and i'm going to remember it as the year of the weddings, since i have/had six of them. weddings are fun. you get to hang out with your friends, watch them celebrate their love, drink, eat good food, and party it up. the only problem is that they're expensive with the travel, hotel stays, bachelor parties, and gifts.
i'm looking to hit up a sports bar thursday night for the cowboys/packers game. people are billing it as super bowl 41 3/4. hehe. two 10-1 teams battling it out for NFC supremacy. it's gonna be good. i'm very afraid of brett favre right now, and i don't know if the dallas secondary is up to the task of defending green bay's 3-4-5 wide receiver sets. we'll see. history is on our side, though; brett is 0-8 in texas stadium.

one time last week or so, i was surfing around the internet, and i saw this posting about a girl who was disturbed about her TWO-INCH nipples. holy shit! two inches?! i mean, that's just insane! how do you wear a shirt over that? it's like pitching a tent over two poles! i like sucking on long nipples and all, but that is just too much. you might poke an eye out with those things! can you even feed a baby with them without the baby gagging? too bad the girl didn't post a picture of them.
so one of the basketball guys is also mispronouncing my name. he says it like you could say "dougherty." hm. i let it pass because i figured it was close enough.
