i've noticed that quite a few engineers here use their middle finger to point to stuff on their monitors. is that normal? have you guys seen that before? i mean, that natural finger to use is the index finger, right? this reminds of that _seinfeld_ episode where the waitress at monk's uses her middle finger to point to an item on the menu, and george thinks she's secretly giving him the bird. hehe. but anyways, just an observation.
there was no basketball today. i got dressed and drove to city beach, and i went in, only to be turned away at the door. "no open play," said the guy at the desk. i noticed the parking lot was full, and when i entered, i heard some guy giving all these people a speech. i guess some company decided to have some even there. *RAAR* i was looking forward to getting some exercise today! basketball is my only form of athletic relief, so i really need it twice a week. bummer.
aimee sent out a mass e-mail saying that turducken '07 was cancelled. i was pretty disappointed; i was looking forward to it! she said it was due to some "family circumstances," so i hope nothing bad happened or anything. oh well, maybe next year. i've heard wonderful things about turducken, so i'm dying to try it out.
yes, amy, i am a mavericks fan. i'm just looking for root for the celtics as well. i used to be a big fan of that boston team (seeing as how i used to live in boston and root for them) as well, so i think i'm hopping on that bandwagon. they're off to their best start in 35 years! and after being bad for so long, you gotta appreciate their story.
i don't understand how some people take such long dumps. i mean, after they excrete their substances, they just sit there for several minutes doing nothing. what are they doing? are they recovering or something? i mean, when i was a kid, i would read entire beverly cleary books on the toilet (sometimes, my legs would even fall asleep, hehe), but at work, i just do my business and get on with my day. hm. maybe these people don't feel like going back to work or something.
i've been slowly building up my stock portfolio. i've bought like 5 stocks in the past month of so. the market has been weak, so i've happened upon a few stocks that have fallen to their 52-week low. i know that doesn't mean they've *actually* hit their true minimum, but still, they're attractive enough for me to purchase. i just hope the market doesn't completely tank, and i lose all this money again like when the dot com crash happened. it's always tough to know when to sell. (i'm a greedy bastard, i know.) like, i really wanted sandisk (SNDK) to hit 60, so i put a sell order in at that price. it hit $59.75, and then tanked all the way to $38 or so. DAMN. only 25 cents away!
i really like pink's latest two singles. one of them is "who knew," but i don't know the title of the other one. i think she's pretty fugly, but her music for the most part is pretty catchy. the only song that i can't stand is that one about "getting the party started." it's repetitive, overplayed, and just damn annoying. but as for the rest of her stuff, i think it's decent.
so i got my car (kendra) back! the right side is all shiny and new. and they also cleaned the inside, so all the cigarette ash is gone. the only problem is that the car smells really funky, like grease or something. maybe it's the paint smell, i don't know. i've grown used to driving the chevy cobalt, so my car feels funny to me now, especially the stiff steering wheel. but i'll get familiar again with kendra soon enough.
do you guys shave your pubic hair? i don't really ask this question to my guy friends, but i do know of one male friend of mine who does shave. i was in the bathroom of one of my guy friends, and i noticed some long pubes on the ground. so i'm not the only one with ridiculously long pubic hairs. some of mine are like 2 inches long, i bet. i've noticed in porn that every single guy in the videos is shaved; i've read that it makes their schlongs look bigger. go figure. i'm just afraid of putting a sharp object near my man region, you know?
so who is uglier, tila tequila or new york? i think new york is by far the nastier of the two. i can't believe that people find her attractive. and why is there an _i love new york 2_? what happened to the final guy from the first series? fyi, if you don't know, new york is this woman who got spurned by flavor flav in _flavor of love_, so she got her own reality dating show. twice, apparently.
i was going contemplating getting a whiskey during lunch today at the cheap korean place. their shot of johnnie walker black used to be $4.50. that's a good price. but then, i looked at the back of the menu, and the price shot up to $7.50! holy shit! that's a 67% increase! phooey. that's more than the price of my dai ji bul kogi, so i said fuck it.
today's the first day in over a year (at least) that i'm going to have three meals (plus ice cream in the afternoon for dessert). ugh. i'm going to gain weight. interestingly enough, though, one of the physical design team members told today that i look healthier with more meat on my cheeks. (i have gained about 10 pounds in the last couple of months.) i just don't want to be 190-200lbs again. that was just way too fat.
