so during basket ball, we had 5-on-5. my team was getting badly beat, so for the last game, they traded me for a player on the other team. and then, my team lost. so i *must* have been the reason, right? that couldn't have been a coincidence. hrmph. i suck. :(
so i finally started coding today. so far, it's been easy stuff, like translating matlab code into C, but it'll get tougher as i progress. there's some systemC stuff that i don't understand that i'll have to tackle later on (and fail), and i'm sort of worried that i'll have to let my boss know about that. i'm thinking that maybe we'll need to hire/consult the old guy who used to work on it, and my boss will not be happy about it. ugh. i need help!
tonight's the halloween party at my company. all sorts of decorations have been put up, and they've blocked off a part of the parking lot and put up these inflatable rides and stuff for the kids. i realized that i still have candy from *last year's* halloween party, so i promptly threw them away (candy goes bad, right?) and got some new stuff from downstairs. i don't really have a sweet tooth, but occasionally, i enjoy a peanut butter cup here and there. right now, i can here some kids running around, so i'm going to be careful where i have a smoke; i don't like smoking near kids. see? i'm considerate.
like i said, i miss smoking in my car. i have that crappy chevy cobalt now, and i can't smoke in it. so that's cutting down on my cigarette consumption. like, this morning, instead of smoking on my way to work, i had one outside my house before driving. luckily, i did that, because i had to go #2 afterwards.
guess what? i found a lounge music station on my rental car's XM satellite radio! i love it. remember a few years ago, when i was obsessed with lounge music? i eventually fizzled out of it, mainly because it too expensive to keep up with it. it got sort of overhyped, and all these compilations came out, and it was hard to separate the crap from the good stuff. i eventually bought most of the stuff from ESL (eighteenth street lounge), and after that, i just stopped accumulating new material. but now, i can listen to it all the time! cool!
i just got an e-mail from a friend saying that she is going to a halloween party with *235* of her friends. WHAT?! i don't think i even know that many people! that's just insane. i mean, i've seen some people on friendster or facebook who have that many friends, but to have them all concentrated in one place? that's just insane! man, some people are just really super-social, i guess. i don't have the personality for it. i'm shy, and i've always been that way. i mean, among my friends, i'm social, but it's hard for me to make new friends. damn. 235! she also told me that there's going to be a liquor luge. yeah, i had to look that one up on google. crazy! it's like a beer bong!
_scrubs_'s final season starts tonight! i wonder how they're going to wrap it all up. last season was sort of a bust, imho, so i hope the writing is better this season is better. i wonder if there's any way JD and elliott will get together.
ok, i've run out of steam. it's almost time to get my massage. it's a treat!
