i like dogs. or, rather, i like *other people's* dogs. i too irresponsible and lazy to own a dog myself, but i do like playing and petting other people's pooches. (alliteration!) when i was at john's place yesterday, the two dogs (buddy and tachi) were there, and i was just very happy to see them. they're nice dogs, and it was just comfortable and fun to have them around. *shrug* when i grew up in boston as a little kid, we would often go to my mom's friend's house out in the suburbs, and they had two dogs (bombi and ohio), and i loved them. so i guess i grew up liking canines. they're just lovable creatures.
did anybody try watching _the office_ last thursday? i taped it on my VCR, but when i played it back, the sound was from another show! i thought i must have been hearing things wrong, but sure enough, the audio was like from a PBS show on science or something. drat. my friend downloaded it last night, so i think i'm going to go over to his place tonight and watch it. but yeah, it was weird.
so i went to get an estimate for my car during lunch today. over $2K! man, all that money for a dent in my front door. i mean, it looks ugly, and they do have to replace two panels in my car. it's mostly labor costs. if only jimmy and i had been more careful, all this headache and hassle could have been avoided. i just feel really bad about the whole situation. sigh. it's been 7 years since my last accident.
i'm going to the dentist tomorrow. i've delayed my appointment two times already; once because of mikeT's wedding, and once because i had to interview that girl. i'm dreading it. i HATE going to the dentist; it hurts! i actually have a company-wide quarterly business update meeting tomorrow at the same time, but i don't want to reschedule yet again, so i guess i'm just gonna have to skip that meeting.
i had a dream where my friends and i were playing with a breathalyzer. i think that dream stems from the fact that i am fascinated with that device. if my friend geoff becomes a police officer, i want to drink a whiskey and test myself. that way i know if i can legally drive after one drink. one time, i had one whiskey, and i got stopped at a DUI checkpoint. i was shitting bricks. the cop asked me if i had something to drink, and i lied and said no. he made me follow his finger with my eyes, and then, he asked me if i was SURE i hadn't been drinking. again, i said no, and he let me go. man, i have never been so nervous. having to lie about something just freaks me out.
is it true that someone can tell if you're lying just by looking in your eyes? my mom was really good at that when i was young. she could always tell! what is it about the eyes that gives it away? i swear, she was like the human polygraph, and it frustrated me to no end. i could never get away with anything as a kid.
for the record, i think tang wei is more attractive than zhang ziyi. and it's not because i got to see her naked bits. :) one thing, though; i didn't like her dark brown chocolate nipples. i prefer pink ones, and yes, those are rarer. but oh, what a treat they are!
how do you frost a beer mug? do you have to do anything special to it before you put it in the freezer?
so it happened again. my coworker M was taking a leak at the urinal next to mine, and after he unzipped, he flushed before he started peeing. why do guys do that? are they embarrassed about the tinkling sound? *ponder*
ok, that's it for me today. i didn't do much work today, and i shall double back and try harder tomorrow.
friday night, i met up with jimmy at red lobster. i hadn't been to one since my college days, and i was totally craving two things there: the crab alfredo, and their complimentary garlic cheese biscuits. i had a lot of both. YUMMY.
after the meal, i was driving in the parking lot, and jimmy was pulling out of his parking spot, and our cars bumped into each other. RATS. luckily, we weren't going that fast, so the damage wasn't too bad, but still, it's going to cost me a couple of G's to fix my car. (jimmy's rear bumper got all scratched up.) i was really pissed off that it happened; not at jimmy, but just at the circumstances. i haven't been in a car accident in 7 years! sigh. anyways, the biggest hassle is just having to deal with insurance and driving a rental for like a month.
saturday, i had dim sum at dynasty with ting and alan. they had never been there before, and they wanted me to pick a place that i go with the bowling gang to, so i threw out some suggestions, and we eventually landed on dynasty. we went late (like at 2pm), so they ran out of some stuff, especially the desserts.
after that, i went home and crashed. dim sum always puts me in a food coma. i slept for over two hours while listening to some college football games.
after that, i went over to paul's house and picked up aimee and tina; the three of us went to go see _lust, caution_ at the camera 7 in campbell. the line was pretty long, and the theater was packed (with mostly chinese people), but we were at least able to sit together (and i got my standard aisle seat). the girls thought the movie was long and unsatisfying, but i thought it was ok.
now, onto the sex in the movie. the girl had some long nipples! i was impressed. (long nipples are wonderful to nibble on during sex.) and at some point, i could have sworn that i could see tony leung's schlong going in and out. impressive! and the girl was also very flexible, which i thought was very cool. flexible girls turn me on. :) but overall, if you're going to pay $10 to see the movie just for sex, i would say don't do it. it's definitely explicit and a bit shocking to see such scenes on the big screen, but there's not enough of it, it's mostly boobs and asses, as expected. (poor tina, she covered her face during the scenes.)
on sunday, i got up at 11, grabbed some jack in the box, and watched some NFL until john called me up. we met up with grace at oktoberfect in downtown campbell. she and i grabbed some big glasses of beer (which gave me a dizzy headache), and all three of us ate sausages. (i had the white bratwurst.) we roamed around for a bit before grace had to go. then, we went back to john's place and watched a lot of tv. then, we met up with paul and leeya at southland taste for a quick dinner, and then i went home to catch the cowboys/vikings (as well as other NFL) highlights on sportscenter.
and that was it. this workweek is going to be busy, as i have a deadline this friday for some codework. ugh. we'll see how i get through it.
