today was C's farewell lunch. his last day is actually friday, but since i'm leaving for hawaii tomorrow, i personally requested that his lunch be today. (yes, i have sway, haha.) we went to spice islands, which was also my suggestion, but my chow kueh teow was less than satisfactory. but i did have a jameson on the rocks, and that was good; i have been craving whiskey for a while now. people were a bit surprised that i was drinking alcohol during work hours, but i told them that one drink was fine.

i had dinner last night with jennie. i hadn't seen her in a few months, so it was good catching up with her. the interesting thing about her and me is that we've both seen pictures of each other naked. (remember that weight loss bet a few years ago?) but that doesn't make things weird between us at all. i just think that she has a hot body, that's all, hehe. she recommended me a whiskey bar in the city, and since her drink is vodka, i told her about voda, this vodka bar up in SF.

when i went up to bed last night, i turned on my halogen lamp, and it started smoking again. so i quickly turned it off, let it cool down, and i fished out the charred carcass of the moth that got fried the night before. poor thing, it never knew what hit it. the wings were still intact, but where its head was supposed to be was replaced by a black powdery lump. ick.

i saw the video for nickelback's "rockstar" this morning on VH1. i liked it. it's basically back-to-back 2-second clips of various people lip-syncing to the song. most of the people are famous, i think. people like grant hill, dale earnhardt jr., kid rock, etc. and one of the girls is really hot! i don't know who she is, though. i love looking at hot women; this one was brunette (i prefer dark hair over blondes, generally speaking). i don't like any of nickelback's other songs, but this one was pretty decent, mostly because i enjoyed the video; it's sort of weird how a good video can make you like a song more.

i was corresponding with feline on facebook, and she mentioned how she found me many years back on my geocities journal. she read my entry about when i found out k1 was engaged, and this afternoon, i went back and read that entry. man, i was so raw and emotional. i don't think i've been like that since then. feline mentioned how she found my blog on track15 later, and how she thought i was more "mellow" and "mature." hopefully, that's true. although, part of me liked that raw emotion; it made life more dynamic and interesting. you know, higher ups and lower downs and stuff. more of a roller coaster. ah, the tortured soul of youth! life was certainly more memorable back then.

ok, i'm taking off now. off to hawaii for the next 4 days. wish me a safe and fun journey, and i'll see you guys next monday!
