so that fergie song is now my favorite song; it has officially replaced "not ready to make nice" as of yesterday. i bought it on iTunes last night, and i've listened to it like 4 times since then. yes, i am in danger of everexposure, and i even dreamt about it. and today, i can't get it out of my brain. this morning, i also bought elliot yamin's "wait for you," which i think is a pretty good track. i never liked him i on _american idol_, mainly because his vibrato was too fast and irritated me, but it's fine in this song.
so i just took a leak, and the guy in the next urinal did not flush when he finished peeing. that really bugs me. he looked over at me a few times, shook his schlong, and walked away. i forgot if he washed his hands or not, but damn, what's the problem with flushing? was he afraid of getting germs from the flush lever? geez. i wanted to yell at him.
we went to straits in santana row for lunch today. my last experience there was horrible, so i decided to play it safe and get the chow kway teow (that's how they spell it there) today, without sprouts. not only did they give me sprouts, but the dish was bad as well. not only was it expensive for what it was ($12), it just didn't taste good. i've been to straits 3 times in my life, and i've never had a good experience there. i wanted to get a whiskey there, too, but i decided not to after figuring that they would overcharge me. they did have jameson, though.
so this time next week, i'll be in hawaii for the first time. i'm looking forward to being with friends and attending mike's wedding. but hawaii? the location and destination doesn't excite me. i'm not a water or beach person, and i've already hiked a couple of volcanoes (while in western japan) before. and the plane ride is gonna suck. i hope my tourette's will be in good form, and i'm debating whether i should pull a taiwan and knock myself out with drugs beforehand. hopefully geoff and pak will sit near me, so i have people around me that won't be freaked out by my tics.
i got a haircut yesterday. it was bad. i look like i'm going to join the marine corps or something. my sides and back look completely shaved (with a number one), and my top is really short. i'm not sure if gel can fix it. ugh. next time, i must remember to tell the person to not go so high up on my head. hopefully a week's time will let the top grow out a bit so it'll be workable.
after my haircut, i went home, showered, and met up with peter, alan and ting for dinner at queen house. pork and leek dumplings! ah, another craving satisfied. i was nice seeing all of them again. they made fun of my hair. :) afterwards, we went to tea era, and i tried their new hazelnut milk tea. don't get it; it was gross. normally, i love hazelnut (nutella, hazelnut lattes, nocciola gelato), but this just tasted really thick, and the texture had some grittiness to it. ick.
last night, i saw the south park episode featuring the dog whisperer (cesar millan), who was brought in to make cartman better behaved. it was fucking hilarious. it helped that i had seen an episode or two of the real dog whisperer before. man, i couldn't stop laughing. and the episode before that was pretty good, too (the one where cartman starts a religious band, faith+1). i love south park; cartman's definitely my favorite character.
nowadays, after i take my morning dump at home, i always have to flush twice. my dumps consist of all these little pieces, and they never all go down the first time. it's really annoying. the initial flushing action jolts the pieces, so that some of them float upwards, and after the water goes down, some of the turds near the surface come back up. so i have to wait for the water to fill the tank, and then i flush again. *RAAR* i guess i'm resigned to it now, but that extra minute of waiting is a big nuisance.
it's been around a year since i've had a solid dump. i've forgotten what a log feels like. i vaguely remember the fact that emotionally, i felt satisfying, but with it came a fear of clogging up the toilet if i took a shit at home. man, those were the days.
ok, time to find the static timing guy again. we're in our final push to get this chip taped out. timing analysis is so boring!
