hey peeps. i finally picked up my car today. $1060.75 for a new alternator, new front and rear brakes, new brake light bulb, and an oil change and checkup. cars can be expensive to maintain, i guess. but i'm glad my car is back and functioning. i had been driving a loaner civic for the past two days, and i have to say, having a V6 is so much nicer.
so tomorrow's the big game! 11 seed stanford is playing 6 seed louisville in kentucky, 45 minutes from louisville's campus. it's going to be like a home game for our opponent, so i'm really nervous. tip-off is at 9:40am pacific time, so i'm going to set my alarm and get up early to watch.
there's also another big basketball game tonight. the phoenix suns are playing my mavericks tonight. they are arguably the two best teams in the NBA, so it'll be a good matchup. go mavs!
sometimes i wonder what my life would be like if i didn't care about sports. i'd definitely watch a lot less tv, that's for sure. i know that these sporting events don't really make much of a difference in my life, but i dunno; life's just a lot more fun when i care about who wins and who loses. it adds passion in my life, i guess. in the summertime, when all the teams i care about have their seasons end, i notice a big drop in excitement in my life.
so my coworker J is flying home to vancouver to get lasik eye surgery. apparently it's cheaper there or something. anyways, for those of you who have gotten it done, what's been your experience? i've heard differing opinions. some have said that it's pretty easy breezy, but i've also been told that it's very uncomfortable. anyways, i hope the surgery goes well for him. i don't think i'd ever get it myself, though. i just don't think it's right to fuck with one's corneas, and since it's still a relatively new procedures, i'd like to see more long-term studies on it.
re: asian girls not having booty. hey, i'm not looking for jlo booty here. i'm just looking for some decent ass. and that definitely exists among asian girls. hehe. i mean, i wish i could have taken a side profile pic of that girl in fantasia. she had almost ZERO ass! it was borderline disturbing. i wonder if it hurt her to sit down because she was all bone and no padding.
ever since the company started carrying dr pepper, i've doubled my daily soda consumption. it's still not much, though (from one can to two cans a day). i have noticed that not many people are drinking dr pepper, so i hope they don't take it away from me. i LOVE my dp! i am, after all, from dallas, headquarters of the soft drink.
i think the talent level of this season's AI is way down. the only good standout singers are melinda and lakisha. i had always wondered what would happen if the singers forgot their words, and what do you know... it happened to three people last night! hehe. so embarrassing. anyways, i think brandon or haley might go tonight. and of course, sanjaya is always a target. i really don't know what the judges saw in him.
