greetings peeps. it's been an eventless day, except for the fact that i had lunch with C and J today. they're my "usual" lunch buddies, except that i haven't had lunch with them in 2 full weeks. we went to tofu house, and i had the spicy pork. it was a lot of meat, and i'm still burping up the stuff even now.
at nelson's place, i looked at his class of 1994 senior yearbook. man, all the guys looked so skinny! especially paul, who looked like a skeleton compared to his current self. but anyways, i saw pictures of the bowling gang (mikeT, mikeC, paul, nelson, john, etc.), and i was sort of jealous that they all stayed good friends. me, i keep in touch with like *4* people from high school (kevin, dave, pritam and stephen). but then again, i made my good friends in college, so i'm grateful for that. and of course, i made some new friends again when i met the bowling gang. :)
so one of my friends is thinking about having his in-laws eventually move in him and his wife. the first thought i have about this is: what about sex? i mean, how would you feel about having sex if you know that the parental types are in the very next room? i would be pretty freaked out, especially if the girl is loud. it would be soooo uncomfortable! i mean, maybe if i got a huge house or something, it would be ok, but here in the bay area, it would take a multimillion dollar home to get a large enough place where i would be ok with it.
i had some massive explosive diarrhea this morning. i'm surprised it didn't leak out of my ass when i was sleeping. anyways, it came in two waves, which was sort of frustrating, because at first, i thought i was done, and i was just about to wipe when the second wave hit. when i was done and looked back, the water was completely black. ick. it took three flushes before i finally got all the pieces to go down.
so recently, alan and ting became a nielsen household. yup, now, everything they watch is being monitored. the nielsen people came in and tinkered with their tv's and tivo's and stuff, and now they have this blinky thing on top of their tv, and whenever they watch, they have to log in as either themselves or as a couple. (they also have guest slots!) it's pretty neat, i guess, to represent america as part of the viewing demographic.
so it turns out that my 1,000+ hit day a few sundays ago was a total fluke. i don't know what the hell the planet was doing when it hit my site up, but this blog is not getting anywhere near that number of hits anymore. i was completely shocked the following monday when i saw that spike. hehe. maybe the world was just bored or something when it just started searching for pictures of the perfect ass and a nipply kate beckinsale.
ok, i've completely run out of steam. gonna call it quits. toodles!
friday night, alan and i drove to SJ japantown and had dinner at gombei. i had the gombei chicken, the largest meal i've had in a very long time. i was completely stuffed, and that made the post-meal cigarette very very nice. afterwards, we just went back to his place and watched some tv. i saw the game show _1 vs 100_ for the first time. interesting concept, but i doubt i'll watch it again.
saturday, i got up at noon, grabbed some jack in the box, and watched the heartbreaking loss by stanford to arizona. we were down by as much as 20 points, but we fought all the way back to force overtime by an amazing 3-point bucket with 6 seconds to go. but then, we lost in the extra session. man. espn's bracketology still has us in the tournament as a 10 seed, so i hope they're right.
afterwards, i took a nap, and once again, i had dinner with alan. i was craving a burger, so we went to red robin. alan got a royal red, and i tried the 5-alarm burger, hoping for a spicy treat. unfortunately, although it was laden with jalepeno peppers, it wasn't spicy at all, so i was thoroughly disapppointed. i did enjoy my maker's mark whiskey, and it was only $5! i think i'll get that from now on, instead of the black label there, which is much more expensive. after dinner, we went to blockbuster to rent some movies, and we watched _the marine_, starring WWF wrestler john cena. as expected, it was a bad movie, haha.
sunday, i got up at 9:30 (early!), and i had coffee with jennie. i got my usual hazelnut latte, and we caught up. it was good to see her again, and afterwards, i picked up nelson and headed on over to dynasty for the grand dim sum outing. we were expecting 9 people, but on the drive over, 4 people backed out, which was highly disappointing.
afterwards, geoff, nelson and i met up at nelson's place, and we walked over to starbuck's. once again, i had a hazelnut latte, and then, we checked out a nearby apartment complex for geoff, who was looking for a place to live with his new wife. the place didn't quite suit his needs (he was looking for a place with two bathrooms), so we went back home, watched some tv (including an episode of andy dick's _the assistant_), and played some GTA3. then, mikeC came over, and the two of us hit up thai basil for a quick dinner.
and that was it. i went home, watched some _scrubs_ reruns, and it was time for _sportscenter_ to lull me to sleep. the weather was great on sunday, sunny and warm. it felt like it was finally spring. :)
