one more day until winter break! yippee! i did some more coding today, and i have one more block to modify until i'm done with my assignments for 2006. i'm excited. of course, i could buckle down and do it now, but nah. i'm the king of procrastination. :)
i'm getting a massage today, my last one of this year. i'm going to thoroughly enjoy it. the thing is, though, i don't really take the time to enjoy my massages. usually, my mind wanders around when i get one, and i don't concentrate on how good it feels to have my masseuse's hands on my body.
peter's supposed to be in town this weekend. i hope i have the chance to see him. too bad that alan and ting won't be here; they're headed down to LA to do some wedding scouting and stuff. alan did call me last night to tell me that he got a new car: a brand new silver volvo XC90 SUV. sounds cool. now alan has a car that he can take to tahoe when he goes snowboarding.
oh, to the commenter to asked me what i brought to the white elephant gift exchange: i brought a pair of police-issue smith & wesson handcuffs. i dunno, i was in a kinky mood when i ordered them online; i viewed the handcuffs as a sex toy or something. once the gift was opened, i figured no one would want to admit wanting them, and i was right; no one stole them. yeah, it was a silly gift, but then again, there were other useless gift as well. i wound up with a knife and a pair of pliers, and who knows what kind of use i'll get out of those.
it is so cold in my bedroom in the mornings that my three layers of blankets aren't enough. i still feel cold snuggled underneath that pile when i wake up. man, maybe i need to find a place with double-paned windows or something. like i said, these days, it's usually 49-50 degrees downstairs when i wake up, and the temperature is even chillier upstairs in my bedroom.
i'm going to miss _survivor_. even though i never watched the show before, this season, i really enjoyed this season, especially watching yul's strategy and ozzy's sheer dominance in the immunity challenges. it was really cool to watch a show where i knew somebody on it; how often does that happen?
so i'm reading some coverage on this big meeting of female bloggers in LA. apparently, ten of them got together for dinner a few days ago. that's pretty cool. about five years ago, this dude raymond arranged a meeting of five of us guy bloggers at gaesung tofu house. from there, i became friends with all of them (except raymond, ironically), and i'm forever grateful for that meeting, because today, i hang out a lot with what became the bowling gang.
allrighty-o. it's almost time for my 5pm smoke.
