so last night, mike called me up and told me that some of the bowling gang was meeting up at st. john's for dinner. it turned out that monday was half off cheesesteak night, so we all got cheesesteaks. i got the "beg for mercy" (which means spicy) cheesesteak, and man, it was pretty bad. i had a spicy dump today, and it burned my asshole. nelson couldn't handle it, so he only ate half of it and gave the other half to mike. it was good hanging out on a weekday, btw.
john came, too, and he brought over a late birthday gift from the gang: a bottle of remy martin XO cognac. i have never had cognac before, so i don't know how to drink it. do i put it over ice or drink it straight? and i need some sort of special glass, right? aren't they called "sniffers" or something? can any cognac experts help me out here?
so it's final. my last company (greenfield networks) is being acquired by cisco systems for a measly $3 million dollars. i get nothing, so the few thousand dollars i spent on stock options are going down the drain. i got this huge thick packet of legal mumbo jumbo a few days ago, and i think i'm supposed to sign some papers and mail it in. sigh. two+ years of hard work and nothing to show for it.
i have a theory about why i'm getting diarrhea these days. i think it's the cold weather at night. when my stomach gets exposed to the cold when i sleep, i get diarrhea. and these nights, even with three layers of blankets, i think it's still cold enough to do the trick. so i guess i'll just have to wait until springtime for me to have nice solid dumps.
so is _heroes_ that good? people rave about it, but i think i'm too late to jump in this season.
the bowling gang is getting hitched up next year. there might be as many as 5 weddings among the group! that's pretty insane. i guess when you hit that certain age, weddings come in waves. at least i'll get good use out of my suit. i wonder if i need to get it altered. i got that suit when i was around 180-200 pounds, and now i'm 160. hm. yeah, i probably need to test-wear it and see if i need to cinch in the waist.
i miss my old suit. it was a navy blue toimmy hilfiger suit. i wore it with a light blue shirt, yellow tie, and mustard yellow suspenders. it was pretty sweet. the problem with it is that i bought when i was in college, when i was around 140 pounds. i had the tailor let out the waist to its max, but it still won't fit me the way i am today. too bad.
