man, i took the LONGEST dump today. and it was very satisfying. as usual, i didn't take a dump all weekend, so today's was pretty big. it was probably around 14-16 inches long, and very thick. it felt very nice coming out of my ass.
so there was this block that i designed in our latest chip. it works! and i am *very* relieved that it works. the thing is, it has a hardware divider in it, so we didn't model it in our c-model. that means we didn't test it, so it was a pretty risky block. but man, i saw it tested out in the lab, and it was bee-yootiful. :)
so yesterday was a nice day. how things change, weather-wise. it's cold, windy, and rainy today. how depressing. i did look at the extended forecast, and there's a 10% chance of precipitation on sunday, when i'm supposed to go watch the 49ers game at candlestick. i sure hope it doesn't rain that day, or else i'm not going to go. i'll wear my raincoat just in case, even if the weather looks good.
i'm not sure what my thanksgiving plans are. i've been invited to three places, so i'm kind of wishy washy as to where i want to go. i might pick the closest place, because i'm feeling lazy and don't want to drive very far. we shall see.
i have verizon, and i get terrible reception at home. it sucks, because i like lounging around while i talk on the phone. these days, i have to go outside to chat, and it's really annoying. yesterday, i got a call on my cell from a stanford girl asking for money, and my call was dropped. i think she must have thought that i hung up on her, so i feel kind of bad about it. i did try to call back, but i got a busy signal.
i turned on the heater for the first time yesterday. i came home after brunch to find my place at 55 degrees. damn cold. i think something must have rotted in my vents because the air that came out stunk. ick. but anyways, i'm going to start using my heater when i'm now. i guess my pg&e bill will start going up for the next few months, until spring comes.
so friday night, i met up with nelson, paul and alvin for dinner at pizza chicago. the place was packed; i've never had to wait, but we wound waiting for about 20 to 25 minutes for a seat. parking was also a nightmare; i had to park across the street at the supermarket.
the pizza (the great chicago fire) was tastier than normal. the garlic was stronger, and the pizza was spicier than usual. it was good!
that night, i decided to not take my seroquel (my sleep med). i wound up in bed awake from 10pm to FOUR AM. holy fuck. it was horrible. i got out of bed at 4am, had a smoke, and then said fuck it, and i took the seroquel. i still couldn't sleep around 4:30, so i took xanax, which knocked me out. it was ridiculous. and i am just frustrated, because i don't want to stay on seroquel. sigh.
i got out of bed at 2pm the next day, and i headed over to jeremy and kate's place in san mateo. man, it was good to see them. jack and his baby mandy also came. it was a nice little reunion. i left after a few hours to join nelson, paul and leeya for dinner at kauai bbq & grill in downtown mountain view. i got the chicken katsu (good) and the korean chicken (BAD). then, we got drinks at tap ex.
sunday, i drove up to the city for brunch at the crepevine with cindy and kevin. it was great catching up with them, as we usually only get together (the three of us) once a year. kevin is my best friend from high school, and cindy is my stanford basketball buddy. after brunch, i drove cindy home and went to nelson's place to set up a quick evite. then, i went home and watched the raider's game and took a nap.
for dinner, i met up with ting and alan at taqueria la bamba for burritos. i actually finished a burrito without feeling sick. after that, i went home, finished watching the bears/giants game (i was rooting for the giants to lose), and then went up stairs to prepare for bed. overall, a decent weekend, but man, friday night was horrible.
