so last night, mike made a rare surfacing, and we had mexican food at taqueria los charros off of castro. i hadn't seen him for months, and it was good to catch up with him. his work schedule is pretty nuts, but according to him, it should all be over in a week or so. so hopefully i'll get to hang out with him more afterwards.
today was N's going away lunch at amarin on castro. i am very sad to see him go; he's my mongolian lunch buddy, and an overall good guy. he's spent 9 years with one company, and that kind of loyalty is pretty rare in silicon valley.
_the OC_ is back tonight! i have two straight hours of prime time tv to watch, and i'm happy about that. starting at 8pm, i'll be watching a rerun of _sex and the city_, the latest episode of _the office_, and then _the OC_. verrry exciting!
i haven't taken a dump today. i've been pretty regular: i don't take dumps on the weekend, but i usually take one every day around noon at work. i wonder what's up. i had a lot of meat yesterday, so maybe that's backing up my system. for lunch today, i had duck. i LOVE duck. duck skin, duck fat, and duck meat! yum.
they're giving out flu shots on the second floor as i speak. i'm tempted to get one, because i don't want to catch the flu, but i've heard that you can get sick from the flu shot itself. plus, it doesn't protect you against future mutations of the flu virus. oh well. i'll just cross my fingers and hope i don't get sick this year.
i'm getting my usual every-other-thursday massage today. it's going to be good. my neck has been rather crunchy of late, so i hope my masseuse works out the kinks.
november is my favorite month out of the year. i think it's because it's my birthday month (it's always during thanksgiving break), and i also like november weather. i like chilly weather, but not too cold. the only downside of november is that it rains. ick.
i've been craving dim sum of late. especially turnip cake. ah, turnip cake. it's my favorite dim sum dish. maybe i'll try to organize a dim sum outing sometime over the next few weekends.
