hey folks. sometime this past sunday, this blog got its 350,000th hit. of course, a large percentage of my hits come from people searching for "perfect ass" and other sexual terms, but still, i am very flattered that i have a decent amount of regular readers. thank you! and in case i don't know you, why not leave me a message and say hi? :)
so did you guys eat mooncake over the weekend? my coworker just gave me a small one. i hate the mooncakes that have the egg in them, ick. but this one is sesame paste, i think. either that or red bean paste.
so this was a bad weekend in sports for me and some of my good friends. jay's yankees lost, alex's dodgers lost, and my cowboys lost (stupid interception at the end!). and to top it all off, stanford got beaten by notre dame. i was pretty bummed that they didn't broadcast the cowboys/eagles game because of NFL restrictions (they can't show a game when the local team, the 49ers, play). stupid.
ok, sorry folks, but i really have nothing to say today. i've been sitting here for half an hour, and i have no thoughts worth mentioning. let's hope this case of writer's block doesn't last.
let's see... friday night, nelson and i had a late dinner at bangkok spoon. we got the red duck curry (which was spicy good), and the pad see ew, which was a bit weird because it had all this white pepper on it.
saturday, nelson and i went to pho nam near the mercado for lunch. afterwards, i went to the neighboring liquor store and bought a $40 bottle of whiskey (jameson 12 year) for john's birthday. afterwards we headed over to john's place and watched him clean his gun. it's cool that guns are made of so few parts, yet they work.
we left john's place and headed over to nelson's house and watched last season's _office_ season finale. i don't know why i keep watching this show; i don't find it that funny or compelling.
i went home, took a brief nap, and then went to visit my college friend J in union city (or is it fremont?) for a few hours. afterwards, i met up with john's birthday dinner people at paul's house for some whiskey and tequila drinking. i had like three drinks, and on an empty stomach, i got a slight buzz. luckily i made it home fine.
sunday, six of us had dim sum at dynasty. i was happy because they had turnip cake, which is my favorite dim sum item. i got home around 1 and watched some football (niners vs. raiders) and took a nap.
for dinner, i met up with alan at yo yo sushi at the rivermark. that place is hella expensive, and the food is only so-so. i don't think i'll be going over there anymore. after tagging along with alan at safeway, i went home. i wanted to go over to his place, but ting was sick. i went home, skype'd my mom for a few minutes, and went upstairs.
