*yawn* today was a day of eating. i met up with ben in milpitas and gorged on knife-cut chow mein at darda. we ordered this whole other dish of assorted vegetables, and that didn't even get touched. and then, there was the monthly company ice cream social, where i had a scoop of pistachio almond, two scoops of pralines and cream, and one scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough. now, i'm stuffed. good thing mia cancelled dinner on me, because i don't think i'll be able to eat tonight. maybe i'll just have a glass of milk for dinner.
anyways, not much going on. i've transitioned from coding/debugging to test writing. it isn't very interesting, and even though the workload has lightened up a bit, a small part of me wants to be busy again. it's only a small part of me, don't worry; i'm still my regular lazy ass most of the time.
so goodbye to ace from _american idol_. he had the looks, but he just couldn't sing as well as the other people. i'll sort of miss him, though, even though i didn't really like him. starting next week, now that we're down to the final six, i think it'll get pretty intense.
i did my hair today. i gelled it up, for a while there, i thought it looked pretty good. but the gel i use (american crew) sort of wilts after a while, especially since i keep running my fingers through my hair to feel the spikiness. oh well.
last night, i had a wednesday dinner with alan at the prolific oven in rivermark. i was craving pasta (my original suggestion of pho got shot down), so i ordered the chipotle chicken pasta. it was pretty good! i made the mistake of asking it to be made "extra spicy," though. i was sweating by the end of the meal. and today's dump really took its toll on me. i went #2 twice, and both times, the turds burned my ass. and they were a much lighter yellowish color, looking like chicken fingers.
so anna stern (samaire armstrong) is coming back tonight on the OC! i'm excited, although from the previews, it looks like she has long hair. sigh. i LOVED her short haircut from the first season. she was dead sexy! i'm definitely looking forward to watching tonight's episode.
have any of you been to chez sovan? i think it's cambodian food or something, somewhere from southeast asia. their amok is pretty good. it's wrapped in leaves and shaped like a lunchbag, and inside is this interesting concoction of fish and other stuff. i hear there are two restaurants; the one i have been to is way ghetto, somewhere in industrial san jose off the 101. is the other one more presentable? i want to try it out.
last night, i had an extended dream where i had a relationship with this indian woman. i don't think she looked indian, but her name was of indian origin. i woke up feeling comforted by the fact that i had someone to call my own. too bad it was just a dream.
my tics are evolving. before, it was a crunching tic to the left, but now, i'm twisting my head in both directions, and the twists to the left are *very* violent. it hurts! *sobs* i had gotten used to the old tic, but this new one is throwing me for a painful loop.
so the NBA playoffs are starting. now that the games mean more, i hope this translates to better play and thusly, better games to watch. they start on saturday, and i'm looking forward to it. go mavericks!
